Martin Luther King

I think Martin Luther King was a good political leader, because he accepted the leadership of the first great Negro nonviolent demonstration of contemporary times in the United States; and to do it, it is necessary have a very big conviction and motivation.

He made a difference in the government area, because he inspired the Negro revolution in peace!! King traveled over six million miles and spoke over twenty-five hundred times (!!!), appearing wherever there was injustice.

In a peaceful march on Washington D.C., with 250,000 people observing, he delivered his famous speech: "l Have a Dream" (In the picture, Luther King delivering his speech).

I like the phrase: “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal”. Martin is an example, not only for the American people, but for the following generations.

In addition, Luther King was named Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963 and at the age of thirty-five, he was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. Lamentably, he was assassinated on the evening of April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Correction Post

I like this picture. It was taken on November 21 of last year, at about 19:35 p.m. (still I remember).

Here there are my friends: some friends I met several years ago (such as the bald man with lenses that is Hernán) and others i met more recently (such as the boy with a cap, nicknamed Pipo). They all have been a great benediction to my life.

This photo has history, rarely we extract ours photos in group, but this day I took my camera and it was very good, since i got very pretty photos stayed for the recollection. But, in this case, who took the photo? I don't know! But he or she was someone who was walking with us.

This photo was taken in Serrano street, in the "Universidad de Chile" station, in the downtown of Santiago.

I like this picture because these people are real. People who one can trust. Regardless of the hour or the place, they will help you. All the time.

Those, who are they? I will name them in order from left side to right, and top to bottom: Cristina, Rocío, Macarena, Pipo, Jose, Jesús, Rodrigo, Hernán, me, Sarai and Natalia.

Public Management

Public administration is a multidisciplinary field, because has very much theories and concepts from economics, political science, sociology, administrative law, management, and a range of related fields. Is really funny! I like the major, but the work probably present many limitations that they prevent the freedom and multiplicity that yes exists in the years of study in the School of Government and Management Publishes (in the Chilean University). Of all forms, it is not a great problem: the mayor is challenging, forms leaders of the tomorrow (this is the idea!).

The objective to the career is form a new generation of policy makers, policy analysts and public service professionals able to operate effectively in political contexts, and in highly internationalized societal and economic settings to generate and successfully execute policy solutions for the most critical emerging problems of our times. This idea presents a big challenge, for which it is necessary "to train" the students in order that, when they work, they do it as best as possible.

I do not have a favorite subject, but those who have analysis and social history I have liked very much.
